As a part of the Defence Information team, you will be responsible for leading a diverse engineering team to sustain existing systems and services, to support innovation ideas and develop new products of the future. You will work closely with our Project Managers and System Designers to deliver our customer commitments on time and on budget.

The Role:

  • Working closely with Project Managers and System Designers to deliver our projects.
  • Leadership of a diverse engineering team of 10 to 20 engineers
  • Scheduling and resource management of all aspects of the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate the evolution of innovation ideas and development of new products.

What you need:

  • Previous experience leading or supporting of the delivery of Enterprise, Project, System or Product level solutions and/or services.
  • Requirements Engineering process and Management techniques.
  • System or Software Engineering tools and processes
  • Ability to produce technical publications, diagrams, slide packs and spreadsheets.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Familiarity of MOD Programmes such as those by Defence Digital or StratCom, for example NSoIT, CDIS, MORPHEUS, TRINITY, Interoperability Gateway IOG, NIOBE or FALCON
  • A degree qualification in related (STEM) subject or equivalent experience

Splunk Specialist

*This role is with an Aerospace & Defence organisation and will require Security Clearance & 5 years UK residency*

We are looking for a Splunk Specialist to join a growing team of security professionals, dedicated to protecting our nation. This position will see you work remotely with occasional, expensed travel.

What you need:

  • Knowledge of deploying, maintaining, and configuring the Splunk Enterprise Platform
  • A strong technical background with a proven experience in a Cyber Security role
  • Good understanding of architecture and configurations of large-scale networks (30,000+ devices)
  • Previous experience and exposure to Windows Event Collection/Forwarding (build, configuration, and tuning), Log sources and ingestion, CIM Mapping, RegEx Field Extractions, Syslog + Parsing

Nice to have:

  • Relevant Security Certifications are desirable but not essential (CISSP, GIAC (Advanced Certifications) e.g., GCIA, GCIH or GCFA and CompTIA Security +

The Role:
· You will be delivering the overall security programme by developing and enhancing the Cyber Threat Intelligence capability across People, Process and Technology, ensuring an intelligence-led approach to all Cyber Operations
· Acting as a single point of contact for Cyber Threat Intelligence, supporting business change by building relationships with and between senior strategists, planners, designers, and operational business partners and informs them of Cyber threats that may affect the business
· Developing plans and programs of work that will enable affective production and dissemination of Cyber Threat Intelligence to inform.
· Ensuring that Cyber Threat Intelligence supplier performance is properly monitored and regularly reviewed

My client, a leader in the supply of refurbished automatic identification devices, POS equipment and payment terminals, are looking for a Level 1 Workshop Technician to be part of a business with an exciting future ahead.

Your Work

Basic duties will include:

  • Repair and servicing of electronic devices, including barcode readers, POS (point of sale) devices as well as monitors and computers and chip and pin (payment) devices
  • Managing spare parts usage using our IT database system
  • Testing units to meet with quality control procedures
  • Co-operation with logistics and production support departments

Required Experience:

  • Broadly understood knowledge in the field of electronics, the basics of building computers and electronic devices
  • Basic knowledge of computer science
  • Additional advantage will be a directional education in electronics / electrotechnics and experience within electronics repairs and maintenance
  • Candidates must demonstrate an aptitude to working with small hand tools / soldering etc. and have an eye for detail
  • Must have the ability to work to deadlines and achieve high quality standards
  • Competent with working alone on computers, including using specialist manufacturer calibration programs (training provided)

Essential Experience:
