What you’ll be doing – Vehicle Mechanic

  • Servicing, repairing, and overhauling military vehicles and electrical systems
  • Diagnosing, inspecting, and assessing vehicles and associated equipment
  • Creating job cards and requesting materials using ERP (SAP) systems
  • Completing documentation and test certificates to current standards
  • Ensuring correct use of stores and returning unused or faulty items

Your skills and experiences – Vehicle Mechanic

  • NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair
  • Preferred: Ex-REME Class 1 Vehicle Mechanic with current competencies (not essential)

Location: Hampshire – Hybrid

The Mechanical Design Lead is a subject matter expert in Mechanical Engineering, responsible for the conceptual development of future shipborne integrated structures

What you’ll be doing – Mechanical Design Lead

  • Provide expert knowledge gained through substantial work experience to apply principles and concepts of systems engineering
  • Provide expert mechanical engineering support to design and troubleshoot complex shipborne structures
  • Provide technical and business leadership and may lead several engineering teams
  • Analyse, define, evaluate, plan and deliver solutions to meet relevant requirements
  • Interface with customers, suppliers and other functions
  • Assist with development of engineering capability and skills

Your skills and experiences – Mechanical Design Lead

  • Subject matter expertise in Mechanical Engineering: Structures and Finite Element Analysis (Static and Dynamic Shock & Vibration) or equivalent experience
  • Ability to generate requirements and translate concepts into production-ready designs
  • Experience of CAD and Mechanical Engineering Analysis, Modelling & Simulation tools
  • Experience of leading large scale complex system designs
  • Experience of multiple aspects of an engineering lifecycle
  • Knowledge of lifecycle models (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)

Salary: £75,000 DOE + bonus

What you’ll be doing – Systems Requirements Manager

  • Leading and managing requirements activities across the engineering lifecycle
  • Owning and maintaining the requirements database
  • Defining and implementing robust requirements management processes, plans, and database schemas to meet project and customer needs
  • Administer access, training, and support for requirements tools, e.g. DOORS, Next
  • Facilitating the integration of tools and data exchange with third parties
  • Monitoring requirements stability, generate key metrics, and support the production of requirement documentation and specifications

Your skills and experiences – Systems Requirements Manager

  • Expert-level knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, with strong systems thinking and holistic approaches to requirement definition and management
  • Familiarity with key standards related to requirements specification, e.g. ISO 15288, ISO 12207, ISO 29148, IEEE 1016
  • Proven experience in requirements management tools, e.g. IBM DOORS Next
  • In-depth understanding of the full engineering lifecycle, including lifecycle models such as Waterfall and Agile, and tools like JIRA
