Job Title: Pipefitter (Shipbuilding)

Location: Govan & Scotstoun – Glasgow

Salary: £37,318 (Shift allowance of 33% (£49,632) for Back, Night & Weekend shifts)

Overtime Rates: Mon – Thurs: Time and a third Friday: Time and a half for the first 4 hours, double time from then on Saturday: Time and a half Sunday: Double time

Shift Patterns:

Mon – Thurs

Day Shift: 07:00 – 16:30

Back Shift: 14:00 – 23:30

Night Shift 20:30 – 06:00

Fri – Sun

Weekend: 07:00 – 19:30

Essential Experience:

  • Trade papers, e.g., formal apprenticeship (ability to provide papers)

  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height

Welder

Welder – £21.88 p/hr + OT + Travel allowance | Plymouth | 26-Week Contract

Join one of the UK’s most prestigious engineering projects at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. We’re looking for skilled Marine Fabricators to support major Warship and Submarine programmes, delivering critical structural repairs, modifications, and fabrication work.

This 26-week contract offers £21.88 p/hr (inclusive rate), with a 35-hour workweek (Mon-Fri, early finish Fridays). The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, cutting, and assembling metal components on ships and marine vessels according to technical specifications and safety standards. If you’re time-served, hold a relevant Level 3 qualification, and have experience in marine or heavy engineering environments, we want to hear from you. Prior experience with Royal Navy ships, submarines, or commercial vessels is highly desirable but not essential.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to projects of national significance.

Candidates will need to go through SC clearance or BPSS.

HGV Mechanic

HGV Technician – The salary is £39,000.88 + Shift Premium of 13% (£5,017.28), permanent position, 40 hours per week (06:00-14:30 and 13:00-22:00, Monday to Friday), location, Ruislip London.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for servicing and repairing defects on fire vehicles
  • Servicing fire pumps
  • Diagnose faults and test vehicles utilising equipment available and using recognised test procedures and techniques. Including road testing where deemed necessary
  • Work in an efficient and productive manner, achieving the targets set out and agreed with Workshop Supervisors or Manager
  • Operate a ‘Fix First Time’ way of working ensuring quality of work is at the utmost standard and meets/exceeds any inspection carried out against it
  • Drive in a manner within the parameters of the law
  • This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

Required experience:

  • Experience in Mechanical Workshops or Car Plants
  • Experience in servicing and repairing HGVs / LGVs
  • NVQ Level-3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance

As a Maintenance Technician you will be doing:

  • Perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks
