Senior Principal Communications Engineer

Location: Coventry (2 days on site per fortnight)

Salary: £48k – £62k DOE +overtime

What you’ll be doing – Communications Engineer

  • Deliver technical input and engineering solutions in support of build activities,
  • Understand the contractual and performance requirements for various systems, through design, build, integration, installation and commissioning activities
  • Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including diagrams; technical specifications; supporting calculations; design evidence and justifications

Your skills and experiences – Communications Engineer

  • Engineering experience within Electrical, electronic or, telecoms or communication
  • Demonstrable experience of working in different engineering lifecycle phases
  • Proven track record of system or equipment design in communications and / or electronics
  • Technical report writing skills and experienced in requirements definition and management
  • Any experience within defence, maritime, marine, naval, ships or aerospace is desired

Principal RF Engineer

Principal RF Engineer

Location: Chelmsford, Cowes – hybrid (generous relocation)

Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 DOE + bonus

Principal RF Engineer overview:

This technical role focuses on the RF aspects of hardware design, developing solutions for new products and integrating technologies into legacy systems.

What you’ll be doing – Principal RF Engineer

  • Detailed RF circuit design including component selection, evaluation, simulation, schematic capture, and preparing guidance for PCB design teams
  • Electromagnetic simulation and analysis
  • Specification of bespoke procured hardware
  • Design verification using a combination of simulation, analysis, and test
  • Generate design documentation and technical reports
  • Adherence to Engineering Lifecycle and contributing to progress, peer, and design reviews

Your skills and experiences – Principal RF Engineer

  • Circuit and RF Design Expertise
  • Proficiency with RF Test Equipment: Skilled in using advanced RF testing tools such as vector network analysers, spectrum analysers, waveform generators, and phase noise analysers
  • Design Proving and Compliance

  • Any experience within defence, maritime, marine, naval, ships or aerospace is desired but not necessary

Systems Engineer

Salary: £70k DOE

Overview – Systems Engineer

  • Develop solutions to evolving technical challenges and emerging
  • Apply knowledge, skills and experience of Systems Engineering principles, techniques and governance to develop technical solutions and resolve engineering issues
  • Conduct system design analysis to manage trade-offs of system parameters
  • Lead the decomposition of requirements to system and sub-system level
  • Be a technical focus point for System related problems
  • Direct and undertake system integration, test planning and execution
  • Define and articulate system acceptance strategies and acceptance evidence

Your skills and experiences – Systems Engineer

  • Understanding in some of the following areas: signal processing, target track extraction, object classification algorithms, system and sensor resource optimisation
  • A good understanding of factors that can affect the real-world performance of sensing systems
  • Demonstrates understanding and experience of Systems Engineering
  • Degree, Chartered or Higher education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM discipline
