What you’ll be doing – Safety Engineer

  • Working as part of an Integrated Development Team, established to develop and deliver systems /capability
  • Supporting Hazard Identification and Analysis studies
  • Assisting with or generating safety reports
  • Liaising with other Integrated Development Teams and the Whole Boat Safety Team

Skills and experiences – Safety Engineer

  • An understanding of ‘Safety and Systems Engineering’
  • The ability to be agile in working practices and customer expectations
  • Self-motivated, with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge in ALARP, HAZID or HAZOP
  • Knowledge of safety analysis techniques such as Fault / Event Tree Analysis or FMEA

Salary: £40k DOE, plus overtime & benefits

Overview – Field Service Engineer

This is a UK field-based role, predominately based working from a home location within a 20-mile distance of West, North, or South of Swindon. A solid understanding in the fundamentals within Electro / Mechanical Engineering is crucial.

Responsibilities – Field Service Engineer

  • To carry out the installation, servicing, moves & changes, upgrade, modification, and repair requirements of the company customer base as requested
  • Problem-solve in a responsible and methodical manner
  • To be flexible to work within other regions of the UK within given notice as required
  • Be responsible for ensuring safe working practices under the Health & Safety Acts

Knowledge, skills and experience – Field Service Engineer

  • Previous engineering experience in a related environment
  • Fault-finding / troubleshooting
  • Electrical/Electronic/ Mechanical Software Engineering experience
  • Clean driving licence

  • Design of AC & DC power generation and distribution systems including sizing, protection, control, and the specification of power supplies and converters.
  • Motor drives, control, and positioning systems and verification
  • Specification of bespoke procured hardware
  • Design verification using a combination of simulation, analysis, and test techniques
  • Generate design documentation and technical reports
  • Adhere to Engineering Lifecycle and contributing to progress and design reviews

Your Skills and Experiences – Power System Design Lead

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Comprehensive knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Specification or design of electrical power systems including AC to DC conversion, distribution, regulation and conditioning including linear and switch-mode supplies
  • Familiarity with Electrical Safety Standards
  • Support acceptance, fitness for purpose, legislative requirements, and safety

As a CNC Machinist you will be doing:

  • Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, including machine probing, micrometres, plug gauges.
  • Working on various CNC machining platforms
  • Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.

Skillet and experience – CNC Machinist

  • MUST HAVE completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Siemens control system experience is preferred.
  • Experience in 3 and 5-axis grinding, milling and turning.
