CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist – 12-month contract

Salary: £25.52

Location: Derby

As a CNC Machinist you will be doing:

  • Operate a variety of Inspection equipment, including machine probing, micrometres, plug gauges.
  • Working on various CNC machining platforms
  • Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.

Skillet and experience – CNC Machinist

  • MUST HAVE completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Siemens control system experience is preferred.
  • Experience in 3 and 5-axis grinding, milling and turning.

Senior / Principal Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Portsmouth (relocation available)

Salary: £55k – £70k, plus overtime

What you’ll be doing as an Controls & Instrumentation Engineer:

  • Undertaking functional design, providing specialist advice and producing evidence
  • Liaising with internal and external customers as part of a technical team
  • Electrical/Electronic installation for Comms and C&I
  • Design of Test Infrastructure and Hardware
  • Write and produce technical & test documents

Your skills and experiences as an Controls & Instrumentation Engineer:

  • A relevant Science, Technology, Engineering or, Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in PLC and SCADA programming, C&I system verification test design or parts specification would be advantageous
  • Good technical knowledge of practicing in at least one of the following areas: Communications Systems (Voice Over IP (VOIP) networks, Broadcast (PA) or trunked radio systems) or Control & Instrumentation (Siemens, Allan Bradley and Fanuc PLCs)

  • Developing conceptual designs for products, sub-systems and units

  • Oversee the various production/assembly practices associated with the manufacturing equipment
