Senior Product Safety Engineer

Location: Bristol, Barrow, Portsmouth, Frimley, Plymouth (Hybrid-working)

We are currently seeking a number of Product Safety Engineers, with varying levels of experience, on a permanent basis. The successful candidates will work amongst a team of engineers and technical specialists to help design, develop, integrate, manage, and support complex systems.

This is a Hybrid-working role, therefore, successful candidates must live within a commutable distance from one of the above locations, to be able to travel to site up to once a week.

What you’ll be doing:

· Providing advice on product safety matters to project and engineering managers delivering the programmes and ensuring the safety considerations are correctly considered and implemented

· Engaging with third parties, to review and gather supporting safety case evidence

· Developing safety arguments, both physical and functional, using appropriate safety analyses methods, producing and updating safety case and safety management documentation using appropriate regulations and standards

Your skills and experience:

·Safety engineering processes, practices and tools

·Clear understanding of safety engineering & assurance principals

·Experience and qualified engineers from other disciplines who display the correct behaviours and have an understanding of safety engineering, will actively be considered for this role
